It was so exciting to see so many people come to celebrate the `Topping Out Ceremony` for the new Sixth Form Centre last night. Such an exciting space really taking shape now. Some of our Sixth students joined Head of Sixth Martin Walker and guests by signing their names and becoming part of the fabric of the new building.

Our talented pupils from Years 7 to 9 rocked the stage at our Music Talent Show, all in support of @musicforallcharity a charity dedicated to promoting health, well-being, and education through music across the UK. 🌟
From the lively beats of Year 7’s Rhythm Bash band performing James Brown’s ‘I Got You (I Feel Good)’ to captivating solos and harmonious choir renditions, the evening was filled with incredible performances. Highlights included Georgiana and Annabel’s show-stopping musical numbers, Gibran’s piano mastery with ‘Over The Bars’, and Maya’s stunning rendition of ‘Interstellar X Cornfield Chase’. 🎤🎹🎻
👑Dom was the overall winner with his rendition of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
Thank you to our esteemed judges, Mr. Curtis and Mr. Hockedy, and everyone who came out to support this wonderful cause. Together, we are making a difference and sharing the joy of music with all.

Yesterday saw the formal presentations from our teams taking part in the The Student Consultancy Programme, developed by Oxford University Careers Service. Huge thanks to our amazing Clients – Berkhamsted Town Council, Just Talk and Youthscape who provided unique opportunities to help them develop work related skills, helping them to flourish beyond school and embody our values of ‘Serving others’. #teamberko @berkhamstedtowncouncil

🎨They zoomed into the laws of physics by creating balloon-powered cars and unleashed their artistic skills by recreating Mr Macpherson’s decorated box from memory.
🌌 Bringing space to the classroom!
The pupils were then immersed in a galactic experience in an inflatable dome in the Centenary Theatre, exploring our solar system and its fascinating planets. They left the session with a strong eagerness to learn more about the mysterious space that exists beyond our planet!
🔬This Science morning for Berkhamsted Prep was a mind-blowing fusion of art, memory games, and physics!

As well as taking part in sessions on presentation skills, running meetings, building teams and coaching conversations, our students received accredited Mental Health First Aid training.
This is all part of our commitment to developing leadership skills so that our students flourish in school and beyond.

Clearly an academically driven department, it’s refreshing to meet the Head of Sixth, Martin Walker, and hear that the students get the support and encouragement to find and follow their own path whatever that may be – from setting up their own business or doing an apprenticeship.
